What ever happened to G. E. Kincaid? Smithsonian Denies they ever knew him

Tag Archives: G.E. Kincaid

Much of the criticism leveled at this story makes reference to the barely researched assumption that this was a one time appearance of an "Inquirer" type yellow journalism headline story. As I have stated in this web site, the story was very unique in an otherwise pretty boring everyday mainstream Phoenix paper that was NOT even remotely prone to such "Inquirer" type sensationalism. Tyler Pauley has the well deserved credit for discovering what the debunkers wish never existed, and that is a previous article mentioning a casual reference to G. E. Kincaid arriving in Yuma. The article predates the April 5th date and was published March 12th 1909. Here is the article as I printed and scanned it directly from the microfilms of the Arizona Gazette of 1909. I have also typed the article so it can be more clearly read. As I have said, this story is much more mysterious, involved and complicated than it's religious debunkers would like you to believe. It cannot be neatly labeled a "hoax" or "fraud". Once one leaves the debunker's realm of shoddy research and snap judgments based on emotion, rather than hard and serious objective research, it becomes evident that there is much more to this story than meets a the eye of a casual skim reading of the 1909 article. - Jack Andrews copyright 2001 may be only used in it's entirety with this notice clearly visible.

The Mummies of the Grand Canyon

What if everything we know about American history is wrong? What if the ancients came here long before Columbus and Jamestown? And what if they left behind clues, so that we could one day learn the true history of humanity?
In 1909, two men stumbled upon the missing link between the ancient world and our own. Professor S.A. Jordan and explorer G.E. Kincaid (sometimes spelled Kinkaid) discovered a cave system in the Grand Canyon that was home to much more than stalagmites and bats. Actually, a tunnel-system is a better description than that of a cave. What the two men found was a dug-out maze of geometrically perfect tunnels filled with ancient Egyptian and Indian artifacts, including mummies. A Buddhist shrine with plainly Egyptian hieroglyphs, boomerangs, and distinct metal objects were also among the finds. How could this be? Why have we never heard of this?
Jordan and Kincaid were both funded by the Smithsonian, our national museum. ThePhoenix Gazette published their report as a front-page story on April 5th, 1909. This raised a few eyebrows, but never gained the national media’s attention. What amounts to the greatest archaeological discovery of the 20th century, possibly even the greatest ever, was promptly swept under the rug.
If you ask the Smithsonian about this find, they’ll swiftly deny its validity and say they don’t know of a Professor Jordan or a G.E. Kincaid. The relics they brought back are nowhere to be found, and the section of the Grand Canyon purported to hold this tunnel system is strictly off limits. With conventional research, the trail goes cold.
We’re left with two possibilities. Either the story is an elaborate, highly detailed hoax put on by two fame-hungry explorers in cahoots with a local newspaper, or the biggest evidence of pre-historical civilization was deliberately covered up.
The hoax theory doesn’t hold much water. Newspapers used to exist to educate the public, not to sensationalize current events, like they do now. If the journalist had indeed created this whole scenario from his own vivid imagination, wouldn’t he have found some national news source to pick it up? If he was in it for fame, he sure didn’t put much effort into pitching the story. And what about Jordan and Kincaid being fictional characters? Though the Smithsonian will say, “Never heard of ‘em,” if you dig deep enough, you can findrecords that contain their names. After the news-story was published, however, both men seem to vanish into thin air. Is this because they never existed or because they’d seen too much?
The cover-up theory suggests that The Smithsonian and other “powers-that-be” have a vested interest in making sure that anything that disproves conventional history, especially a discovery of this magnitude, is suppressed before it shatters the status quo, the perceived reality. It runs much deeper than some grumpy old historians having to admit that they were wrong. It’s becoming increasingly obvious that the ancients were privy to an advanced technology, and the monuments and relics they put away for safe-keeping are clues to this mystery. The fossil-fuel and electricity magnates would be dethroned if humankind had access to all the pieces of the puzzle. Other than our taxdollars, who do you think funds the Smithsonian?
The people we refer to as Native Americans have many legends that describe pre-Columbian visitation form advanced civilizations. The Hopi legends describe what Jordan and Kincaid found, almost exactly. These Native Americans did not mummify their dead, but numerous mummies have been unearthed in North America. They’ll tell you that Egyptians, Indians, and other cultures had a great influence on their own. Maybe it’s time we listen.
The evidence for the Grand Canyon Mummies and other claims can be found everywhere…except for a history book.
Seek and you will find.

  1. PRESS RELEASE April 30th, 2014

A great anthropological and archaeological discovery has been made within the Grand Canyon of the United States. Joseph Lake Voros, of Florida, has established the site of a Mesoamerican Totlec settlement first described in a 1909 article by The Arizona Gazette detailing the work of G.E. Kincaid, who also found the site; but most records were lost and the story became untraceable. Joseph Lake Voros, using the advance software of Google Earth has placed the coordinates, recorded stunning visuals of the site, however not entered the site yet.

    4. I have tons of research on this and the story was real, G.E. Kincaid (I have evidence) was real and I have been to the area above the site. I chose to stop researching the story to protect Hopi sacred sites there and keep the area from being ruined by overzealous nutcases who would have no respect for the Navajo (Dineh) or Hopi land there. I did this to protect the area and sacred Hopi sites. I don't care if anyone believes it or not as I actually prefer they do not to protect the area. What is said above simply isn't true. I did not invent the story and certainly my wife Susan did not as she was not even a serious researcher on the story but just interested in it. As I said years ago and still maintain, skeptics and debunkers do armchair research (no research) and just make wild unsubstantiated debunking statements on this story with no basis in actual research. I have TONS of files and info on the truth of this site and story.

    5. Believe what you want. Believe that the Pyramids were built by aliens (or) by a civilization earlier than Noah. The FACTS on the ground say differently. There are A LOT OF STUFF that we just are ignorant of because it shook and scared those in power - - - way back before records were kept (not including the hieroglyphics which we still do not know the origin or date of.)

    6. We have a painting by GE Kincaid called the Hopi Lands. He did indeed exist.

    7. I believe every word you're saying, & he did exist. I believe his story to be real & would LOVE to see everything you have, all the files & pictures. I only wish I could go there & have the opportunity to see the entire Grand Canyon before I die, but know that's impossible for me to do now. I've always dreamed of going, like a bucketlist of things you'd want to do & experience before you leave this Earth. But I LOVE this story & want to read everything I can about it. I was watching Ancient Aliens & saw this, just had to put in a search for it & see what came up. Thank you for having all this for people like me who believes!

  5. G.E. Kinkade was well known in the Arizona area and was also well published through the Smithsonian Institute and the Arizona Republic Newspaper. The problem is that he discovered (uncovered) information which was contrary to what some though was contrary to the bible and common Christian beliefs about the world at that time.

  6. UMMM...the artifacts that he found in the cave were on display in the Smithsonian..they took them off display in 2014...My family and I visited the Smithsonian in 2016 and we were told to contact the curator via email...eventually we spoke on the phone and we were told that they did exist and you could only see them by appointment and we hand to go through a light security clearance....I'm just saying like Mr. Jack Andrew's has stated stop doing armchair research and go to the source an ask questions or to the actual site for yourself.

  7. hello, GE Kincaid and S.A. Jordan were real

recently I found a recent article on the subject, in which a person tried to disprove this discovery by offering his proofs, among the things he said revealed that if there were 2 professors, of kinkaid and jordan last name who worked in the smithsonian museum at the beginning of the century , I researched and finally found information about them

the only thing I notice is that the initials of their names are different, in the case of Kinkaid actually his name was T. Kinkaid, and in the case of Jordan was called D. S. Jordan

the most interesting thing is that looking for these 2 people with these changed names appears information about them where it is confirmed that they did collaborate in several investigations and that they even explored alaska together, there are documents mentioning that they were in the great canyon doing research scientific

I remember that I read some time ago in another place that someone mentioned that when something that can change the official history is discovered by an expert, it must change the name to leave no trace of its existence and its discovery is never located, in this case I have the theory that these two people were originally born GE Kinkaid and SA Jordan, but once they made that discovery they had to change their names to mislead future researchers of this topic, for that reason in the newspapers and records before discovery in the great canyon have the initials G, E and S, A and after this their initials changed to T, and D, S

Here I leave the links of these 2 people who did exist and the article that I came across where they spoke of their names:

  8. Ladies & Gentlemen, the world is full of truth suppressed. The common narrative is and always has been carefully managed. This control if you will supports the status quo, how many times have you told a lie to perpetuate an idea benificial to you and yours. This behavior is simply scaled up for the masses.

  12. If you find "Unknown's" link to
    https://siarchives.si.edu/collections/auth_per_fbr_eacp436
You will find mention of a person born in Ontario, Canada, not Lewiston, Idaho (as the AZ newspaper claimed). The first "white child" born in Idaho was Eliza Spalding in the Lapwai area, daughter of Henry and Eliza Spaulding, their second child was Henry. They established a mission in Lapwai which is near Lewiston, but their mission dates to the 1830s while Lewiston wasn't founded until 1861.
As for "Trevor Kincaid", born in Ontario, Canada, he was employed, not by the Smithsonian, but by the University of Washington.

"Trevor Kincaid (1872-1970) was an invertebrate zoologist known for his work with insects and oysters. He was born in Peterborough, Ontario, and moved to Washington as a child. Kincaid attended University of Washington where he received his Bachelors and Masters degrees. He was hired as a professor and served as Chair of Zoology until his retirement in 1937. He continued teaching and researching at the University of Washington until 1942. Kincaid served on the Harriman Alaska Expedition and took several trips to the north Pacific." https://siarchives.si.edu/collections/auth_per_fbr_eacp436

  13. I read about this 20 years ago and i had no reason to doubt .I mean what someone in a higher power covering something up? Never heard of it...lol i mean really? This goes on all the time ..especially back then going against the mainstream beliefs about history would be unheard of .

  14. It’s a Hopi sacred sight, which isn’t their name the creation story goes that there was a cataclysmic event in the past and the insect people and the lizard people or I should say the ant people and the snake people, sorry. But they took them under ground to protect them and the snake people were using them as slaves for years and they escaped the people with two hearts which I heard that the lizard people or Naga have two hearts, so stories add up just don’t focus on one story listen to all stories with an open mind and step back and look at the big picture some stuff adds up and some stuff doesn’t, it’s simple folks. Love one another and revert to the path that we are built to walk.

  16. All these comments lead me to 2 different kinkaids or kincaids connected to the smithsonian one of them was connected to a david starr jordan thats trevor kincaid so the first initials are wrong or were changed at some point is what People have theorized. In my research of the internet and books and pdfs on the subject of giants there's a similar story about legit scientists who either worked for the usgs or some university or even the Smithsonian who ar elater discredited or the gatekeepers say naw they never existed like in this case. In the case of the giants of the channel islands theres the story of ralph glidden a 32 degree mason who dug up indian burial grounds on catalina and supposedly found a 12 foot or 9 foot skeleton but when you look into this story there is no way to verify it and it will lead you to some religious nonsense. But there were USGS digs on 2 of the channel islands in official USGS reports they talk about 7 or 9 foot giant skeletons you will be hard pressed to find this info unless you really dig. Also in this story is ralph glidden working for the heye institute in new york which later became part of the Smithsonian. the heye institute is connected to a few of these cover up stories. So in some of these stories the Smithsonian can claim they don't know anything because it was the heye institute who actually collected these bones.
